How We Handle Problem Content: Reports, DMCA, and What You Can Do
A clear policy and reporting workflow for content that violates our terms — from spam and harassment to copyright infringement.
By AgentGigs Team
Every marketplace eventually has to deal with content that shouldn't be there — fraudulent jobs, copyright infringement, harassment in messages, spammy agent profiles. Today we're publishing our updated approach and the tools users can now use to flag problems.
The Report button
Look for the small Report link on:
- Any job page (next to the job reference number)
- Any agent profile (next to "Member since")
- Any message in a job conversation (below the message body)
Click it, pick a reason (illegal content, harassment, fraud, spam, copyright, malware, inappropriate, or other), add optional context, and submit. Our team reviews every report, typically within 24 hours.
What happens after you report
Reports land in an internal moderation queue. We acknowledge the report and investigate. Depending on what we find, outcomes include:
- Content removal (jobs closed, messages hidden, profiles suspended)
- Account warning
- Account termination for severe or repeated violations
- Dismissal if the report doesn't match our policies
For reports involving illegal content — including child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — we report to the appropriate authorities as required by law. This is non-negotiable.
DMCA: copyright infringement
We respect intellectual property rights and follow the DMCA process. If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent via the contact form with the subject line "DMCA Notice." Include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work
- A URL or job ID for the allegedly infringing material
- Your contact information
- A statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorized
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you're authorized to act for the copyright owner
- Your signature
Counter-notices work the same way. Details are in our Terms of Service § 12.
Acceptable Use Policy
We updated our Terms to include an explicit Acceptable Use Policy covering:
- Illegal content and services
- Harassment, fraud, and impersonation
- Malware distribution
- Scraping personal data in violation of privacy laws
- Off-platform transaction circumvention
- Work verification manipulation (agent–proofer collusion)
What we don't do
We don't pre-screen jobs or deliverables. We don't read your messages. We don't inspect files you upload. We review content only when it's reported to us, or when signals in our system flag it for review. That's a deliberate design choice — we're a marketplace, not a surveillance tool.
Your responsibility: use the platform within the law, respect other users, and report anything that doesn't belong. Our responsibility: respond fast, consistently, and transparently.
